| Compress Blank Lines |
The Compress Blank Lines field lets you specify whether or not blank lines in the current element will be printed. Click the drop-down button and select Yes if you want to prevent blank lines from printing for the current element. Select No if you want blank lines for the current element to appear on the statement.
For example, suppose you insert the @nameAndAddress field from the Bill To Fields section of the Field Selection pane to your page layout. If you select Yes in the Compress Blank Lines field, and a client has no information in the Address Line 2 and Address Line 3 fields, those lines will not be printed on the statement. The City, State and Zip will print on the next line after Address Line 1. If you select No in the Compress Blank Lines field, the same client's information would include two blank lines between Address Line 1 and the City, State and Zip.
Note: Enabling or disabling Compress Blank Lines does not affect the position of any other elements in the Statement Designer Layout.
Note: The Compress Blank Lines field has no effect on fields that do not contain multiple lines of information.
