Note: When using the Mixed or Alpha Key Types, a period may need to be entered after the new Client ID when adding a new client. This allows Tabs3 to treat it as a new Client ID instead of criteria for an alpha lookup. For example, if you enter a base Client ID of "SMITH" when you want to add a new client, Tabs3 will look for the first client that matches that criteria in your alpha list. However, if you enter a base Client ID of "SMITH.", Tabs3 will know that you want to add a new client. If you enter "SMITH.001" as a new client ID, it is not necessary to enter a period at the end of the Client ID.

Alpha Key Type Notes: You cannot enter a client ID with 11 digits. However, you can enter a 12 digit client ID with no period.
