master client
Each client can have multiple matters. The master client is usually the first numerical matter for a client with multiple matters. When using a Numeric or Mixed Key Type, this is normally a Client ID with all zeros to the right of the decimal point. To take advantage of subtotaling capabilities in Tabs3, the master client needs to be numbered such as 508.00, and subsequent matters for the client as 508.01, 508.02, 508.03, etc. (Note: However, if a client has multiple matters and no matter with all zeros in the decimal portion, then the first numeric matter is considered the master client.)
