The Statement Options section of the Split Billing Matter window allows you to specify how split billing information will appear on the specified split matter's statement.

Show pre-split values on statements Select the Show pre-split values on statements check box if you want to display the original transaction values on the specified split matter's statement instead of the split amounts. Clear this check box if you want to display the split amounts.
 

Note: When this check box is selected, the pre-split values for Hours, Rate, and Amount will be shown for fees, and the pre-split amounts will be shown for costs. Additionally, a line will be printed beneath each section showing the percentage of the total for which the matter is responsible. The terminology for these lines can be edited on Lines 67-73 of the Terminology tab of Statement Customization.
Split Billing Summary Select the Show Split Billing Summary on statements check box if you want to display a Split Billing Summary section on the statement. You can display a detail or summary version of the Split Billing Summary.

 

 Detail

The Detail option displays a Split Billing Summary containing a breakdown of fees, expenses, and advances by matter. The following is an example of the Detail version of the statement summary.

Note: The headings for Fees, Expenses, and Advances are taken from Line 49, Line 51, and Line 52 of the Terminology tab of Statement Customization respectively. If Line 28 of the Terminology tab is configured to combine expenses and advances on the statement, the Expenses and Advances columns will be merged. In that case, the terminology specified in Line 51 will be used for the combined column header.

 

 Summary

The Summary option displays only the matter names and their totals. The following is an example of the Summary version of the Split Billing Summary.

Note: The Split Billing Summary will only be included if split transactions are present on the statement. The terminology for the heading of the split billing summary can be edited on Line 74 of the Terminology tab of Statement Customization.
