Maximum of 99,999,999.99. Enter the total amount budgeted for fees, expenses and advances for the client. This field can be used for setting a limit or targeting the amount to be billed to the client. It is not a required field and may be left at zero if not used.

A popup calculator is available when editing this field. The "<" and ">" keys can be used to increase or decrease the amount by one dollar at a time.

When a client's Warn if Budget Exceeded check box is selected, if the Budget Amount field is greater than 0, a warning will be displayed whenever a fee or cost transaction is entered that causes the total combined WIP + Billed fees and costs for the client to exceed the Budget Amount. The warning is displayed as soon as the amount is specified but before the transaction is saved. However, Tabs3 does not prevent you from saving the transaction.
