| Last Statement # |
This field represents the statement number of the most recent statement record in the client ledger file for the client. Tabs3 uses the statement date to determine the most recent statement (i.e., not the reference number of the client ledger record).
As an option in Customization, Tabs3 lets you use one sequence of statement numbers for the entire firm; or, each client can have its own sequence of statement numbers.
When entering a new client, this field is only displayed if the Statement Numbering option on the Options tab of Customization is set to Firm Level. Maximum of 999999999. Enter the statement number of the last statement sent to the client (optional). The Last Statement Number is used for reference purposes for you and your client. Skip this field if the client has no balance due or unapplied payments. If this is the case, no client ledger record is created. Therefore, if you enter a statement #, it is not saved and will not be present the next time the client record is retrieved.
Note: When entering a Last Statement # for a new client with an accounts receivable balance, the statement number entered may be displayed when printing a reminder statement, or in the Statement Number Lookup when reprinting statements. If no statement number is entered, it will be shown as "0".
Note: This field cannot be edited for clients who already have a client ledger record.
