The Support Log window can be used to generate a report, which tracks various activities performed in Tabs3 Software, such as when the last backup was made or when a reindex was performed. Each time one of the tracked features is performed, an entry is made in the Support Log for that feature.
When the Support Log is accessed via System Configuration, the report includes all activities in all Tabs3 Software applications by default. When the Support Log is accessed via Tabs3 Billing, PracticeMaster, Trust Accounting, Accounts Payable, or General Ledger, the report only includes information for that system.
The Support Log can be filtered to only include information for specific users, features, and date ranges. Additionally, the Support Log in System Configuration can be filtered to include specific software. For example, a report can include all Data File Integrity Checks and backups performed last month by Ron and Cheryl.
The entries for the various features that are tracked are sorted with the most recent occurrence at the top of each section. There is no limit to the number of entries recorded for each feature. Once the maximum file size of 5 Mb (approximately 5,000 entries) is reached, the oldest entry in the file will be overwritten each time a new entry is added. Since entries for all Tabs3 Software applications are stored in the same data file, an old Tabs3 Billing entry could be overwritten when a PracticeMaster feature is performed.
The Support Log window includes the following information:
| Date | Enter the date range of Support Log entries that you want to include. If "mm/dd/yyyy" is specified for the beginning and ending dates, all Support Log entries will be included regardless of date. | |
