Transaction codes that already exist cannot be entered in the New Number field. However, multiple transaction codes can be combined into a new unused transaction code number. When renumbering multiple transaction codes using the same new number, the Alpha Code, Sales Tax, Type, Rate, Amount, Bill Code, Transaction Type, Cost Type, General Ledger information and Description from the first transaction code in the list of Old Numbers will be used as the new transaction code's information.

Note: Combining transaction codes with different transaction types is allowed (expense and advance only); however, it may produce undesirable results.
