A rectangle element is a type of element available in the Statement Designer. Rectangles can be used to improve statement appearance and provide organization for the elements contained in the statement. For example, you might place a rectangle around a special note at the end of the statement to set the note apart from the rest of the statement. As another example, suppose you want a portion of the statement to have a shaded background. A rectangle element can be added with a colored background, and other elements can be placed in the same area as the rectangle using higher layer levels so that they print on top of the rectangle.
