There are multiple buttons available on the QuickBooks General Journal Entry window.

Buttons for All Journal Entries

The following buttons can be used when working with all records for the entire transaction.

Save All The Save All button can be used to save all application records.
Close The Close button can be used to close the General Journal Entry window. If the Total figure has not been entirely applied, a message will be displayed indicating the entire amount has not been applied and ask if you want to continue anyway.

Buttons for Individual Journal Entries

The following buttons are used when working with individual journal entries for the transaction.

Save Record The Save Record button can be used to save the changes to the journal entry.
Delete Record The Delete Record button can be used to delete the selected journal entry.
Cancel The Cancel button can be used to abandon any changes to the journal entry record.

Note: The changes made using the above three buttons are not saved until all journal entries for the transaction are saved using the Save All button.

Apply Balance The Apply Balance button can be used to automatically enter the amount shown in the Balance figure at the top of the window.

Note: You can edit or delete an individual journal entry that has already been saved and is shown in the bottom of the window provided that all of the journal entries for the transaction have not yet been saved (i.e., the Save All button has not been used). To do this, double-click the desired journal entry so it is shown in the Journal Entry section of the window. If you want to edit the journal entry, change the Account, Debit/Credit, Amount or Description fields as desired. Click Save Record to save the changes. If you want to delete the journal entry, click Delete Record to delete the record.
