Insert Mode & Overtype Mode

The Insert Mode indicator is shown on the Tabs3 Software status bar and is available only when the cursor is in a rich text field. INS represents Insert Mode and OVR represents Overtype Mode. When you type text in a rich text field and Insert Mode is on, any text to the right of the insertion point will move forward as you type. Conversely, when Overtype Mode is on, text to the right of the insertion point is overwritten one character at a time as new text is typed. The INSERT key on the keyboard is used to toggle between Insert Mode and Overtype Mode. The default mode is Insert Mode.
