Returns a Numeric Value
Returns the Timekeeper # of the User ID specified in string_exp$. The User ID is retrieved from the User Configuration program in the System Configuration software, while the Timekeeper # is retrieved from Tabs3 Billing (or if Tabs3 Billing is not installed, from PracticeMaster). If the string_exp$ is left blank, the currently logged in User ID is used. If the specified string_exp$ is not a timekeeper, returns 0.

Examples:

USERTKPRNO(“ROBERT”)

Returns 4, if the User ID of ROBERT is assigned to Timekeeper 4.

USERTKPRNO( )

Returns 1, if logged into Tabs3 Software with a User ID of MICHAEL that is assigned to Timekeeper 1.

USERTKPRNO( )

Returns 0, if logged into Tabs3 Software with a User ID that is not assigned to a Timekeeper record.

USERTKPRNO( )

Returns -1, if neither Tabs3 Billing nor PracticeMaster are installed.

Note: Because the User ID assigned to each Timekeeper is stored in memory when the software is started, changes will not affect the results of this function in the current Tabs3 Software session. You must restart any Tabs3 Software that was open when the User ID was changed in the Timekeeper file in order for the change to take effect.
