UPTO$(source$, pattern$)

 

Returns a String Value
Searches for pattern$ in source$ and returns everything preceding but not including pattern$.

Examples:

UPTO$("(402)423-1440",")")

Returns "(402".

UPTO$("Public/John Q.","/")

Returns "Public".

UPTO$("John Q. Public","/")

Returns "".
