MONTH( ) MONTH(date_value)

 

Date Function Returns a Numeric Value
Returns the month number (1 - 12) corresponding to the date value. Returns 1 for January, 2 for February, etc. If the date_value is left blank, the current system date is used. Returns 0 if the date_value is equal to "mm/dd/yyyy".

Examples:

MONTH(MKDATE(12,22,2026))

Returns 12 (December).

MONTH(MKDATE(12,22,2026)+ 1)

Returns 1 (January).

MONTH( )

Returns 6 if the current system date is 06/16/2026.
