ISBLANK(string_exp$)

 

Returns a Numeric Value
Returns 1 if the string expression consists entirely of blanks or is empty. Otherwise, returns 0. The ISBLANK function can only be used with alpha fields.

Examples:

ISBLANK("Howdy!")

Returns 0.

ISBLANK("")

Returns 1.

ISBLANK(" ")

Returns 1.
