| Last Payment Date |
The Last Payment Date field represents the date of the most recent payment record in the client ledger file for the client. Tabs3 uses the payment date to determine the most recent payment (i.e., not the reference number of the client ledger record). If no payment records are present, the field will be mm/dd/yyyy.
Work-in-process payments are included.
When entering a new client, skip this field unless the client has a credit balance. If the client has a credit balance as a result of an overpayment, and you enter an amount in the Unapplied Payments field or a negative amount in one of the Due fields, enter the date of the overpayment in month/day/year format (i.e., mm/dd/yyyy). This date will be used as the date of the client ledger payment record created.(Note: If the client has no credit balance, no client ledger record is created. Therefore, if you enter the last payment date, it is not saved and will not be present the next time the client record is retrieved.)
The
button can be used to open a Calendar
window that allows you to select a date.
Note: This field cannot be edited for clients who already have a client ledger record.
