| Source |
Select a source for the rates in the cost rate table.
| Custom | Select Custom if you want to define a new cost rate table from scratch and do not want to share a cost rate table or use an existing client's cost table as a basis for the new cost rate table. |
| Shared | Select Shared if you want to set up a shared cost rate table. A shared cost rate table uses another client's cost rate table. You cannot edit the tcode/expense codes or rates unless you edit the cost rate table for the shared client. If you select Shared, you will be able to specify the Table to Use. |
Note: Clients who have been assigned a shared cost rate table are noted as such on the Client Rate Report. The name of the client with the shared table is also printed on the report.
| Use Existing Table | Select Use Existing Table if you want to define a new cost rate table based on an existing cost rate table. If you select this option, you will be asked to specify the Table to Use as a default for this client. Once the Table to Use is specified, Tabs3 copies that client's cost rate table to the current client's cost rate table. You can then edit the displayed tcodes/expense codes and rates as desired. Any editing performed affects the current cost rate table only, not the table for the client specified in the Table to Use field. |
| Once the current cost rate table is saved, it is not possible to determine whether another client's cost rate table was used as a basis for the cost rate table. This is because once saved, the next time the client's Cost Rate Table is viewed, the Custom option will be shown for the client. |
