The Check for Updates menu option checks for available Tabs3 Software updates. If an update is available for the installed version, or a new version is available, the Update Notification window will be displayed.
If no updates are available, a message stating that the software is up to date will be displayed.
Note: The Check for Updates icon in the Home Page or Quick Launch pane displays a badge when updates are available. Tabs3 Software checks for updates and displays the badge under the following circumstances:
- The first time a user authorized to check for updates logs into a Tabs3 Software application each day, Tabs3 Software checks for updates and displays the badge.
- Each time the Check for Updates program is opened, Tabs3 Software checks for new updates and displays the badge.
Note: A banner will be shown at the top of the Home page under the following circumstances:
- When a new version of the software is available but has not yet been installed.
- When an update to the current version of the software has been available for 15 or more days, but has not been installed.
Clicking the Check for Updates link on the banner will open this window. Click the Dismiss button to hide the banner until 30 days have passed and the update has still not been installed, or a new update is available and at least 15 days have passed. A banner is only shown for users who have access rights to Check for Software Updates.
