| Application Toolbar |
The application toolbar provides the ability to quickly start other Tabs3 Software. Positioning the mouse over any application toolbar button will display the software associated with that button.
The application toolbar is always displayed at the bottom of the Quick Launch pane. Your Theme Settings determine whether the Quick Launch pane is displayed, and whether you want to display an instance of the toolbar in a different location.
The following buttons are available on the application toolbar:
Clicking this button will open Tabs3 Billing.
Clicking this button will open PracticeMaster.
Clicking this button will open Tabs3 Trust Accounting (Trust).
Clicking this button will open Tabs3 Accounts Payable (AP).
Clicking this button will open Tabs3 General Ledger (GL).
Clicking this button will open Tabs3 Taskbill. (Quick Launch pane only)
Clicking this button will open Tabs3 Device Interface (TBDevice). (Quick Launch pane only)
Clicking this button will open System Configuration. |
Note: With the exception of System Configuration, a software product's button will not be displayed on the application toolbar if you do not have access rights to that software or, in the case of the Quick Launch toolbar, if it is not installed on your workstation. In the Quick Launch pane, the button for the software you are currently working in will be displayed with an underline. However, when the application toolbar is displayed in a different location, the button for the software you are currently working in will not be displayed.
Note: The application toolbar is not displayed in System Configuration, Tabs3 Taskbill, or Tabs3 Device Interface.
When starting any software from the application toolbar, the new software will use the same User ID as the current software. Entering the password is not required. If you want to log in using a different User ID, hold down the Shift key and a Logon window for the new software will be displayed, thus allowing you to specify a different User ID.
To turn off the Application Toolbar
- In the Quick Launch, search for and select “Theme Settings.”
- Clear the Application Toolbar check box.
- Click OK.
To move the Application Toolbar
- Drag the application toolbar to the desired area on the desktop. You must click on the toolbar gripper to "grab" it.
The application toolbar can be dragged and attached to one of the four sides of the main application window. When attaching the application toolbar, position the application toolbar so it overlaps the side of the main application window where you want it attached. By default, the application toolbar appears on the right side of the main application window, with the icons stacked vertically. When moved to the top or bottom of the main application window (or as a floating toolbar, as described below), the icons will change to a horizontal arrangement.
Alternatively, the application toolbar can be dragged anywhere else on the desktop as a floating application toolbar. If the application toolbar is repositioned as a floating application toolbar, it will be displayed with a title bar and a close button. Double-clicking the title bar of the floating application toolbar will return the application toolbar to its previous position. Floating application toolbars are minimized when the main application window is minimized. Floating application toolbar positions are maintained when the main application window is maximized. (Note: Floating application toolbar positions are saved for subsequent sessions.)
Note: The application toolbar displayed at the bottom of the Quick Launch pane cannot be turned off or moved.
