TrueType fonts are scalable fonts that can be sized to any point size. The printed output of TrueType fonts is identical to what appears on the screen. Common TrueType fixed pitch fonts include TT Courier New and TT Letter Gothic.
OpenType fonts are also scalable fonts and look good in any point size. OpenType fonts are an extension of TrueType technology.
