Tabs3 gives you the option to include a bitmap graphic file on the first page of each statement and on cover statements. This feature gives you maximum flexibility with your letterhead design. Color bitmaps are supported; however, we recommend saving your bitmap as a monochrome bitmap if a color printer will not be used.
Bitmaps are included when printing, previewing, and saving statements to a PDF file. However, they are not included when saving statements to an HTML or TXT file.
Clear the Bitmap check box if you do not want to include a bitmap graphic file on the first page of each statement.
Select the Bitmap check box if you want to include a bitmap graphic file on the first page of each statement. Once the Bitmap check box is selected, the following fields will become available (i.e., undimmed):
Tip: Even if the Bitmap check box is selected, the heading lines found on the Headings tab of Statement Customization still print when information is entered. This can be useful in situations where you want to include a bitmap for your letterhead and a heading on the statement to reflect the billing period. For example, you could enter "For Professional Services Rendered Thru \E" in one of the heading lines. The "\E" will print the ending fee date.
Note: Although long file names can be used with bitmap files (provided your version of Windows supports long file names), the file must have a file extension of .BMP and cannot have any spaces in the file name.
Note: The bitmap feature is not practical when printing with most dot matrix printers due to low resolutions and slow print speeds.
Note: If the Enable Statement Designer Layouts check box is selected and a page layout is specified in the Statement Template used for clients, the Bitmap check box is ignored when printing statements. However, if the Enable Statement Designer Layouts check box is selected, but no page layout is specified in the Statement Template, the Bitmap check box selection is used.
