| Multiple Windows Printers on the Same Port |
For certain situations, it may be desirable to set up a special Windows printer for a particular type of print job, such as labels and specific reports. This allows each printer to have its own configuration including margins, fonts, paper orientation, paper size, paper source, etc. If separate printer configurations are not defined, you would have to change the printer setup prior to printing the different print job.
Note: Tabs3 Software stores separate margins, offsets, and fonts for the following print outputs:
- Tabs3 Billing draft statements
- Tabs3 Billing final statements
- Trust checks
- AP checks
- Trust and AP 1099 forms
It is only necessary to configure a special Windows printer for these output types if other configuration options are necessary.
Windows allows you to set up multiple printers for the same printer driver on the same port using the standard Add Printer icon in the Printers folder via the Control Panel.
