Enter a Definition Name for the report definition. The Definition Name is displayed in the Report Definition List. Maximum of 8 characters. All characters are automatically changed to lowercase characters.

Note: Only letters, numbers, and the underscore character are valid in the Definition Name field. Entering any other character into this field will result in an illegal character message box, and the report definition will not be saved.

The button can be used to open the Report Definition List that allows you to view a list of report definitions and select any report definition by double-clicking it.

Technical Note: Tabs3 automatically adds a file extension of "*.T3D" to the report definition file name and saves the file in the Current Working Directory. This is the same file extension used by report suites. Whenever a report suite or report definition is saved, an entry is made in the table of contents file (WT3REP.TOC). The table of contents file can hold up to 999 total report definitions and report suites.

Note: If you are saving a report definition that will be used with the Tabs3 Billing Matter Manager, you will need to use a predefined report definition name.
