matter contact definition

The matter contact represents the person to contact on behalf of the client. Typically the matter contact is the same person as the client when the client is an individual, but is different than the client when the client is an organization. The matter contact determines the available phone numbers and email addresses for the client record. The matter contact is specified on the Address tab of the Client file in the Contact Name field under the Matter Contact section.
